If you are concerned about getting to Samburu, never fear Rhino Africa will be able to organise every detail before you even leave your front doorstep!
Samburu National Reserve, other reserves in the area and the private concessions especially in the Laikipia area are best reached by air as they are 325km from Nairobi. Of course most of them are also accessible by road. That is unless you choose to stay in some of the more private and exclusive lodges, some of which don't even feature roads!
Regular flights from Nairobi go to Samburu or to various private airstrips at individual camps and lodges. Most often your lodge of choice will pick you up in a safari vehicle and transfer you to your home away from home. If you are lucky enough to be staying at one of the more exclusive private lodges, your transfer may be on the back of a camel!
Your Rhino Africa consultant will organise every detail of your itinerary.

Getting to Kenya is not much of a problem as there are regular flights to
Nairobi from South Africa, Europe and the United States. From Nairobi you can catch an internal flight to
Masai Mara,
Mombasa or any other destination in Kenya. Of course, we can organise a road transfer if you want to see the sights and sounds of the country first hand and you can hire a 4x4 to get off the beaten track and see the country yourself.
NB: We can organise everything from your international flights to your domestic charters or road transfers. Don't stress out about planning your journey - leave it to us and we will ensure it is a pleasure.

Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Until recently there were no direct flights to Kenya from USA but now Delta Airlines does fly from JFK International Airport to Nairobi 3 times a week. Most European capitals have direct flights to Nairobi and getting there from South Africa is easy as pie with daily flights from Johannesburg.
From Nairobi, most internal flights leave from
Wilson Airport just outside the city centre. This domestic airport specialises in regional flights around the country and to parts of Tanzania. Most fly in safaris require that you depart from Wilson Airport.
