Whether you want to catch a bus, hire a 4x4 or hop a charter flight, we can organise all the nitty gritty details of getting to and from Mount Kenya and where to stay. It's what we do best.
Slap bang in the middle of Kenya's central highlands, Mount Kenya National Park is easily accessible and is just 200km north of Nairobi. This majestic mountain can be reached by road or air from Nairobi. The main road from Nairobi to Nanyuki (or Naro Moru) is well-tarred and the journey should not take you more than a few hours.
If you wanna skip the ride, there is an airstrip in Naro Moru and one in Nanyuki. You can fly to either one from Wilson Airport near Nairobi. The flight should not take more than 45 minutes in total and you will be transferred to the reserve from the airstrip.
Many people combine a trip to Mount Kenya with a Big Five safari in the
Masai Mara, or some time in the
Aberdare National Park or
Samburu National Reserve. Whatever you are looking for, one of our consultants can help you decide on your itinerary.
