Witness the Great Migration!
Kichwa Tembo is located in the Masai Mara and is a fantastic place to stay if you are looking to see the migration. The migration is one of the worlds most spectacular wildlife events. Annually 2 million wildebeest and zebra migrate in a clockwise direction around the Masai Mara and Serengeti in search of fresh grass and water.
The most dramatic viewing occurs when the animals cross Rivers, they wait for many days and suddenly cross in a continuous stream. The banks of the river are steep and the animals struggle to climb out , therefore stampeding on top of each other, crocodiles lie in wait in the water, and vultures clean up afterwards. There are a lot of casualties in the river crossings.

Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp is located in the western section of the Masai Mara. Twice daily flights allow you to fly direct to Kichwa Tembo Airstrip from Wilson Airport in Nairobi. Depending on your itinerary Kichwa Tembo can be organised as drive in destination.
