If you're heading to Kenya on safari you would do well to include a visit to Amboseli National Park and spend a few days in utter bliss!
Amboseli National Park is possibly the best wildlife area in the whole of Africa to experience elephants at close range. Elephants feeding and bathing in one of the area's swamps will be the highlight of many a safari. And this all with the great Kilimanjaro as a backdrop.

Although it may look close in all those iconic photographs, Mount Kilimanjaro is actually 48km away in neighbouring Tanzania. Of course that means it's perfectly placed as the backdrop to many a famous photo and for your very own holiday photographs. Won't that one with the elephants look great in your album back home?
Amboseli National Park is a very popular Kenya safari reserve because of the stunning view it displays of nearby Mount Kilimanjaro. Subterranean water draining from Kilimanjaro surfaces in the centre of the park, creating swamps that attract and support a rich diversity of wild animals and birdlife. Being one of the smaller game parks in Kenya and dominated by low scrub vegetation, the animals here are easy to spot. Lions can easily be found and you may be lucky enough to witness them stalking their prey.
