The seaside town of Hermanus is best known for the whale watching that takes place there, the town even has its own whale crier! Olive Tree House is situated in a country setting at the entrance to the Hemel en Aarde Wine Valley on the "Glenfruin" farm. At the Olive Tree House you can choose to book in self-catering or on a bed and breakfast basis. There are four well appointed double bedrooms allowing for a total of just eight guests. There are two tastefully decorated bathrooms with baths and showers and a central lounge area with a warming fireplace. The fieplace may keep you warm and toasty in winter but for the summer heat the sparkling swimming pool and surrounding patio with superb mountain views is the place to be.

Whale Watching
Unsurprisingly the main activity to engage in at Olive Tree House is land based whale watching, the town of Hermanus has some of the best in the world. Provided you come at the correct time of the year (September-October) you are virtually gauranteed to see the whales in action. There are also several wine estates in close proximity as well as a golf course.
