Uplands Homestead, in the Kwandwe Game Reserve, is luxury Africa the way the 1820 Settlers saw it. The house is a sole-use villa with three suites each with an en suite bathroom and private verandah. The restored manor has been decorated with rare and beautiful artefacts from the early 1800s when South Africa's first European settlers made their tentative forays into the interior.

Birding is spectacular with a chance of seeing the Blue Crane and the Fish Eagle is always about, its evocative call echoing through the valley.
