Kariega Game Lodge Description

Kariega Game Reserve consists of two lodges. The standard Kariega Lodge & the more luxurious Kariega Umkhozi Lodge. Kariega Lodge comprises of 19 luxurious and spacious fully serviced 4 star rated 1, 2 and 3 bedroomed log chalets, all en-suite with their own viewing decks and some with private pools.

Here you can enjoy complete privacy, spectacular views and intimate contact with nature. All cabins are fitted out with fully fitted kitchens, and therefore self catering options are available. For those that prefer a spectacular architectural award winning pub and restaurant nestled in indigenous bush with commanding views of the reserve, serves tasty traditional South African cuisine or guests can enjoy the experience of a meal in the open air boma.

Kariega Game Reserve : Activities

Kariega Game Reserve is 5000 hectares, of Malaria Free wilderness, which plays home to 25 species of animal and 250 different types of birds. The reserve is split in two distinct areas. The first area is dedicated to general game and birdlife, and it is in this area that the experienced Game Rangers offer game walks, mountain biking, canoeing, river cruises, and swimming in the river.

The second area is newer and it is here that you can view the Big Five from the safety of the open vehicles. In the local area you can enjoy golfing on superb courses and a trip to the golden beaches of Kenton On Sea for bathing, a stroll or horse riding.
