Hilltop Country House is delightful bed & breakfast accommodation idyllically situated in a Fynbos Nature Reserve between Victoria Bay and Wilderness, in the heart of the Garden Route. Hilltop Country House is owned and run by Hennie & Magda Schoeman, the house is located high up on a cliff overlooking Wilderness Beach, all rooms have panoramic views. Hilltop Country House is set on 12 hectares of private land and you can enjoy cliff walks and nature trails throughout the property.

There is a choice of rooms, the deluxe suite and four luxurious double en-suite bedrooms all have private entrances and balconies with breathtaking views over Wilderness, the Indian Ocean and the Outeniqua Mountains. These rooms are all equipped with hairdryers, tea and coffee facilities, Satellite TV, under floor heating as well as heated towel rails.

Hilltop Country House : Outenqua Choo - Tjoe

Hilltop Country House has great views of the Outeniqua Choo – Tjoe train. A ride on the trains is a must! One of the few steam trains still running in South Africa., The spectacular two and a half  hour journey between George and Knysna, goes over bridges ( notably the Kaaimans River Bridge ) through tunnels, along the curving shore line ( the first view of the sea is just before Hilltop Country House at Victoria Bay). Travel past tranquil lakes and lush indigenous forest and plantations before arriving in Knysna. Visitors can choose to catch the train back to George, or hop on a shuttle.
