Flanked by some of the most spectacular coastline in Africa the Whale Route is a guaranteed to keep you captivated. Between June and November Southern Right Whales come close to the shores to calve, this offer excellent whale watching in Hermanus. The area is also great white shark country. Gansbaai is world famous for offering diving cage and boat based sharkviewing. In land the area is equally as spectacular and includes pretty villages such Greyton and Swellendam. If you have time then consider stopping off at the southern most tip of Africa at Cape Agulhas the place where the Indian and Atlantic oceans converge.
