Rosenhof Country House InformationRosenhof is a pretty and sophisticated hotel in the middle of Oudtshoorn. The surrounding area is dry and barren, so the Rosenhof appears as a welcome oasis after a long drive. The gardens are Victorian in design and bushes of full blown roses give the hotel its name – Rosenhof meaning Rose House in Afrikaans. The original Victorian Homestead is where the lounges, bar and restaurants are located. In the courtyard 12 guest rooms have been positioned. . All the rooms are individually furnished in a Cape Victorian style with en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, television, mini bar and coffee making facilities. A recent addition is 2 luxury suites, these have private lounges and huge double size bathrooms - complete with exercise bikes! Each suite has its own swimming pool. Relax in any one of the luxury lounges, or retire in the smoking room for an after dinner cognac. Traditional South African Cuisine is served with cordon bleu flair and has won Rosenhof international acclaim. A brand new addition at Rosenhof is its Wellness Centre which includes a Jacuzzi, Sauna, Fully Equipped Gym and Beauty Clinic. |
