Our consultants recommend Shamwari Bayethe Tented Camp as the best in the area. The lodge itself has stone walls and a thatched roof with awesome vistas of the beautiful Eastern Cape landscape. Guests can absorb the pulse of the African bush from the viewing deck, framed by riverine trees and overlooking the river pools where you can quietly observe antelope enjoying a drink of water at twilight. The Bayethe tented suites are luxurious and stylish and each tent is air-conditioned and heated with an en-suite bathroom, shower, private plunge pool and viewing deck. Each of the 12 tents are nestled along the bed of the river, camouflaged under trees allowing ample privacy and unsurpassed comforts.
