Tree Tops Tented Camp is situated on the beautiful Lalibela Game Reserve along the Garden Route in the Eastern Cape. The luxury safari tents are perched high on thatched platforms at "tree top" level and are joined by raised walkways. The views are spectacular and overlook the thickly wooded valley below. Rooms have canvas walls, thatched roofs and huge window areas that all contribute to giving guests the unique feeling of being submerged in the bush. Each room boasts a private veranda where guests can quietly sit, relax and contemplate in privacy.

Tree Tops currently sleeps 8 people in 4 luxury airconditioned tents. Special care and consideration was taken during the construction of the lodge to ensure that there was minimal impact on the pristine vegetation in the valley. The Tree Tops main lodge has a large lounge and open-air dining deck with views of a waterhole and the surrounding valley. Guests can sun themselves around the swimming pool or relax in the shaded gazebo.

Enjoy game drives in the bush

Enjoy morning and evening game drives through the Lalibela Game Reserve which comprises 7,500 hectares and spans 5 ecosystems namely, valley bushveld, savannah grassland, fynbos, riverine forest and acacia woodland. The varied eco-systems make for spectacular scenary and diverse beauty.

Game drives are in an open safari vehicle with an experienced game ranger. You have the opportunity to see the Big Five as well a wealth of other animals including cheetahs, hyenas, giraffe, zebra, hippo and the African wild dog. There is no fencing within the reserve which enables animals to roam freely throughout the entire reserve. There are also no public roads running through the property.
