While the apartments have been fully furnished for a self-catering holiday with modern appliances and expensive furniture, the décor is neutral and entirely unobtrusive. Colour themes are the basic beige, brown and cream combination with distinct local yellowwood finishes. Apartments range from single-roomed studios for two to four-bedroomed monstrosities suited to everyone but agoraphobics – all offer total privacy, comfort and convenience.

Knysna and the immediate surrounds have plenty of activities and excitement on offer – from natural land and marine reserves to fine dining and late night decadence. There’s also some hair-raising adrenalin fixes and more leisurely sporting activities to keep you entertained should the idea of another perfect day on your terrace by the lagoon be too much to bear.
