The main attraction of the area is the abundance of game and predators to be seen; at any time of year the sizes of herds can be staggering!
- Spectacular wildlife viewing in large open spaces
- Wild dogs and other predators are often seen in the area
- Enjoy night drives and game walks in private concessions
- One of the greatest concentrations of animals in Africa
- See some of the most spectacular African Sunsets
We often refer to the areas of Savuti and Linyanti as the ‘thinking man’s Chobe’. Considerably quieter and much more remote than the Chobe Waterfront surrounding
Kasane, these areas offer fantastic game viewing and similar experiences and landscapes, but with a fraction of the environmental impact.

The Kwando concession is a private concession adjacent to the Linyanti. It is an area crisscrossed by thousands of ancient game trails – migratory trails of elephants, buffalos, zebras and wildebeests that move freely across the swampland.
Kwando Lagoon and
Kwando Lebala are found in this reserve and provide arguably some of the most authentic game viewing experiences in Botswana. The emphasis at both camp is on informality, simplicity and soaking up the unique wilderness experience.
The Savuti area is famous for its predators and wide open landscapes.
Savuti Safari Lodge’s highlights are concentrations of Lion & Hyena, as well as its Leopard, Cheetah, Black Backed Jackel and many lone Elephant bulls.
Savuti Elephant Camp is Perched on the former banks of the now dry Savute Channel and provides a perfect vantage point from which to view wildlife.
