The Chobe National Park is located in the very northeast corner of Botswana and only a short 90 minute drive from Victoria Falls. Chobe is probably most well known for its large herds of African Elephants.

At Rhino Africa we usually split Chobe National Park into two distinct areas. The Chobe Region around Kasane is the where some of Botswana’s most well known safari lodges such as Chobe Chilwero & Chobe Game Lodge can be found. Here the river is at its widest and most tranquil and the river is surrounded by floodplains, sandridges and forest. This area is easily accessible from Victoria Falls. Upstream and west of Kasane is the Linyanti Region and Savuti Region. Remote and usually only accessible by light aircraft this area is much quieter and more secluded and is well known for its plentiful and abundant numbers of predators and general wildlife.
