Villa Via General InformationVilla Via is a large and functional hotel-cum-self catering apartment block on the marina in Gordon's Bay – the eastern shore of False Bay opposite Muizenberg, Kalk Bay and Simon's Town. The casual holiday tempo, warmer water and smaller crowds make Gordon's Bay the destination of choice for families and folk who want a long holiday without the hotel-hopping that goes with it. The Villa Via hotel has 90 rooms of varying configuration, each fully equipped for a self-catering holiday accommodation including kitchenettes, en suite bathrooms, ocean- or marina-facing balconies, extra beds and a grocery shopping service. Villa Via recently incorporated, revamped and renamed what are now Galleons Restaurant and the Amsterdam Pub. The restaurant opens onto a terrace and serves the gamut of South African standards from seafood to steaks; the pub is a delightful recreation of a lower deck bulkhead with heavy wooden beams, brass taps and everything firmly secured to the floor. A large pool faces the marina and the beachfront promenade is lined with restaurants, cafés and shops – shoes optional. |
