Mont Rochelle DescriptionOffering more variety than the local wine shop, Mont Rochelle is a farmhouse-turned-sophisticated-luxury-hotel surrounded by the picturesque vineyards and craggy peaks of Franschhoek in the Winelands. Each room is unique and named after a prominent Cape grape varietal. Thus you have a choice of chocolaty merlot, creamy cap classique, traditional cabernet, silky shiraz or bold pinotage suites. A reserve suite offers total privacy with a secluded courtyard garden and hot tub. As part of a fire-induced revamp in '06 ( when previously Mont Rochelle was known as La Couronne ) Mont Rochelle expanded its dining repertoire to include a less formal taste of Provence in the Mont Rochelle restaurant and tasting room; and fine dining in the signature restaurant, Mange Tout. Michelin-starred Erwin Schnitzler and imported executive chef Ryan Smith knock up froth-covered delicacies and wholesome Mediterranean favourites in the same breath to compliment the hotel's ever-amazing setting. |
