Some of our favourite places to stay in the Cape Winelands are small privately run guesthouses. Small and intimate they are oftentimes run by the owners and really give you a chance to experience the ultimate in warm South African hospitality.
These guesthouses are the kind of place where you can feel relaxed and comfortable, kick off your shoes, put your feet on the sofa and treat it like home. In the summer relax out by the swimming pool with an ice cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc and catch a tan, or in the winter snuggle up with a good book at the fireside and drink Hot Chocolate ! Meet the owners who can really give you an insight into the local areas, introduce you to places off the beaten track, book you tables at restaurants when their usually full and generally speaking give you a feeling of being made to feel extremely welcome.
