Cape Town hotels are the perfect choice if you are looking for accommodation with lots of facilities and all the modern conveniences of an international hotel. There are any number of hotels to choose between in Cape Town and the following are a few of our personal favourites.
The Tourism Grading Council of South Africa defines a hotel as follows, “ A hotel provides accommodation to the traveling public, has a reception area and offers at least a breakfast room or communal eating area. In general a hotel makes food and beverages available to guests, those these may be outsourced “

Cape Town has some of the finest hotels in South Africa. We believe that there are several things that make a great Cape Town Hotel. Here are some of the factors we take into account when we rate hotels in Cape Town.
LocationLocation is critical. If it is your first time in Cape Town, then a centrally located hotel in the
Cape Town Waterfront is a great place to consider. Staying here means that you do not need to hire a car, and restaurants, shops and museums are literally on your doorstep. Hotels in the Waterfront include : the
Portswood Hotel, the
Commodore Hotel,
The Radisson Hotel,
The Cape Grace and
The Table Bay. Its important to remember that you do pay a premium to stay in the Waterfront and there are equally as nice but less expensive hotels in our areas.
If you hire a car your options are greater and this means that you can stay in areas further a field in
Camps Bay,
Constantia or
Kirstenbosch and Newlands. The hotels in these areas have more space to spread out and you’ll find the rooms larger, the pools bigger and the hotels often have gardens and set on estates. Staying in these areas without a car can be restrictive. Hotels in these areas include :
Constantia Uitsig,
Cellars Hohenort and
The Bay Hotel.
FacilitiesSince 1994 the hotels in Cape Town have undergone a great facelift and compete with hotels any where in the world. You can expect to find : Health Spas, Whiskey Bars, Martini Bars, Room Service & Business Centres. Its important that you communication with your Rhino Africa Travel Consultant about your particular requirements and what kind of facilities you require during your stay in Cape Town, such that they can recommend hotels accordingly.
ServiceService is the cornerstone on which Rhino Africa is based and therefore we have very high standards when it comes to our partners. Regardless of whether you staying in a simple 3 star hotel or a fancy 5 star hotel, we believe that service is key. Nothing beats a timeous and informative check-in, warm and welcoming reception staff, a clean and comfortable bed, and public areas where you can relax and unwind.
BreakfastIf you only eat one meal a day let it be breakfast! With so many fantastic restaurants in Cape Town its not essential that the Cape Town Hotels have restaurants, however, a good hearty breakfast sets you up for the day. Fresh juice, a selection of cold and hot breakfasts, good coffee and pastries.
