Huijs Haerlem is a small guesthouse high up on Signal Hill in Sea Point. The guesthouse has charming personal touches - like imported Dutch antiques and individually decorated rooms - that suit people who like to feel at home when they travel. The hospitality at Huijs Haerlem is personal and intimate – the antithesis of a large hotel.

The eight rooms – twins and doubles - at Huijs Haerlem come in a variety of pastels, with matching paintings and patterns. Each has a ceiling fan and underfloor heating in the en suite bathrooms. The view from your balcony or terrace is either of the garden and mountain or the sea. A large private garden features a solar heated pool and breakfast terrace for those glorious Cape Town summer mornings when the sky is so blue and the air so fresh it feels fake.

The view from Huijs Haerlem, high up on Signal Hill, is spectacular – to the right, the city and harbour work tirelessly; Table Bay, Robben Island and Bloubergstrand form the central feature and to the left Sea Point faces the endless expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. Behind you Signal Hill rises gently into the Cape sky.
