We believe that Welgelegen is the perfect choice for travellers who enjoy staying in special and unqiue accommodation , but don’t necessarily need the a five star hotel. Welgelegen Guesthouse is situated in Gardens, an old and established suburb in the Cape Town city bowl. Cradled at the foot of Table Mountain, Welgelegen ('well placed' in Dutch) consists of two beautiful 19th Century houses. These have been lovingly renovated and decorated to reflect the uncompromising commitment to style by the owner, FionaEvans. Welgelegen is stylish, spacious, chic, contemporary and eclectically decorated to make your stay an unforgettable one.

There are a total of 13 bedrooms each individually decorated to a high standard. Each room has airconditioning, bar fridges and satellite television. Welgelegen provides a delicious breakfast, and whilst it does not provide dinner options your hosts are able to make dinner reservations on your behalf at restaurants on Kloof Street.

Welgelegen: Great Location

The highlight of staying at Welgelegen is its fantastic location and easy accessibility. Walk to the nearby, bustling Kloof Streets bursting with many of the Cape Town’s finest restaurants and pubs. Perhaps take a stroll to the Company Gardens, National Museum and Art Gallery, Parliament Buidlings and Gree Market Square.
Welgelegen is a five minute drive to the Table Mountain Cableway, Camps Bay & Clifton beaches, Malay quarter, V& A Waterfront, Artscape Theatre and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
