The Protea Hotel Fire & Ice in Cape Town is the first of its kind in the Protea Hotels portfolio. With an over-the-top Mad Hatter's Tea-party buzz, the hotel is as much an experience as is the rest of Cape Town. Bright colours and quirky décor are the tip of the iceberg at this City Bowl hotel – the attention to off-the-wall detail is exceptional. Like the 50-foot climbing wall; the fish-tank swimming lane where diners can assess your swimming style; a private cinema with massive flat-screen TV and top-notch sound system; the glass-sided shower cubicles in the rooms; and designer cocktail-bar interiors at every turn.
