Situated in Oranjezicht, Cape Town's leaf-dappled guesthouse precinct, Floréal House is a homely haven of tranquillity with a view to sigh for. With just nine rooms – each individually decorated and comfortably furnished – the guesthouse is quiet, intimate and relaxing. The house is an attractive restoration from the early 1900s featuring wooden window frames and a well-established garden.

Light meals are offered all day and dinners are arranged on request – if you can resist the urge to devour your way through Cape Town's impressive array of restaurants almost on your doorstep. Floréal House has a large swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers that look out over the city and Table Bay; Table Mountain would also be in the view if you had eyes in the back of your head. Tours, day trips and transport into the city centre and the V&A Waterfront are all organised by your friendly and efficient house staff.
