Le Gouverneur General Information

Le Gouverneur is a mansion of a guest house with five suites of different levels of luxury and size. Draped in the serene colours of mother earth and subtly decorated with African artefacts, the guest house overlooks the pristine beach of Camps Bay and its signature fringe of palm trees and café-lined promenade.

The three suites, with en suite bathrooms done in contemporary marble finishes, have private patios with large glass doors facing either the mountains or the sea. The two apartments have lounge/dining areas, sumptuous bathrooms and enviable terraces overlooking Camps Bay. On the steep approach into Camps Bay, Le Gouverneur is close to the action of the busy beachfront and above the madness of the passing traffic; the views, the accommodation and the staff will do their best to give you a memorable holiday in one of Africa’s top destinations.

Le Gouverneur is a short drive from Camps Bay's exciting beachfront up the steep foothills of The Twelve Apostles. The view from the landscaped gardens and your private patio is spectacular: the Atlantic Ocean frames the pearly white sands of the wide sweeping crescent of Camps Bay; palm trees line the promenade, which is packed with all manner of restaurant and streetside cafés. Cape Town, the Table Mountain Cableway, and the Waterfront are a short drive over Kloof Nek.

Le Gouverneur is close to the Camps Bay beachfront which is a bazaar of shops, cafés and restaurants that open onto the pavement and overlook the beach across the road. The city is up and over the hill and Clifton, Sea Point and the Waterfront are around the corner.

30 Fiskaal Guesthouse is in Camps Bay heights. The view is spectacular, the garden is a tranquil haven, and the rooms are comfortable and elegant. You can walk to the beach but might want a ride back.

The Fairways

The Fairways is a comfortable, elegant and unassuming guest house in a prime location: practically on the beach at Camps Bay. The en suite rooms are homely and Luigi runs an excellent family restaurant.
