Occupying a charming restored Victorian house, Craigrownie is a comfortable guesthouse in the secluded, wind-sheltered Bantry Bay end of Sea Point. Like many of Cape Town's guesthouses Craigrownie is conveniently named after its street address – makes getting a taxi home all the more simple. Craigrownie guesthouse has six rooms each with private en suite bathroom and a balcony that overlooks either the sea or the mountain.

The living area comprises a residents' lounge with a fireplace and an honesty bar, for that extra touch of homeliness, and the back courtyard is surrounded by a garden and has a sparkling pool as its centrepiece. Sun loungers line the pool and a terrace offers a great view of the sea, mountain and your breakfast. Snacks, lunch and dinner can be arranged by the accommodating staff if you feel like a relaxing night at home – make that a relaxing night at the guesthouse.

Craigrownie is within walking distance of the beaches at Bakoven and Clifton; the Sea Point promenade is an excellent early morning or sundowner stroll. The Sea Point area has many restaurants with a huge choice of styles, tastes and budgets and Cape Town city centre and the V&A Waterfront are a short drive from Craigrownie guesthouse. Beyond Clifton is Camps Bay and the whole of the Cape Peninsula.
