1.    What do you love most about your job?
I love the fact that every day I am making dreams come true. Even though my clients sometimes don’t realise it yet, I know – and this keeps me motivated and excited. And of course getting to travel to really special and majestically beautiful places that I would otherwise not have the privilege of seeing.

2.    What are your top 3 destinations you have visited in Africa?
Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve in Kruger,  for sure, I love the energy of the bush there – in any season. Namibia is an amazing country, so wild and free. Botswana is astonishingly beautiful and you really feel like you are in the remote wild – just you and the African wildlife.

3.    What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten on your travels?
I don’t eat strange things. But I suppose it would have to be eating game meat, right after viewing them.

4.    What is your most memorable safari moment?
Being at Vumbura Plains, 100 meters from a male lion calling the females, the sound went right through me and made my whole body vibrate, to top it off, he walked towards us in an open vehicle, all the while roaring. He even brushed his face against the vehicle. It had me in tears of exhilaration and amazement.

5.    What is the one thing you have to take with you on every trip?
My Camera.

6.    Where in the World do you still want to travel to?
Peru, Galapagos Islands, South Luangwa in Zambia, Rwanda to see the gorillas and the Arctic to see polar bears. Everywhere really.

7.    If you could go on a dream safari with anyone at all, who would it be and why?
My future children (I’m pregnant), because I would love to show my children what a special place our world is, away from the madness.

8.    What is your favourite (city/beach) hotel that you always recommend to clients travelling to Africa?
I don’t have a favourite, there are so many special places, but in South Africa it is really all about location, location, location – and of course your budget.

9.    What is your favourite safari lodge that you always recommend to clients travelling to Africa?
Londolozi always wins, hands down.

10.    Where is your favourite place to eat in Cape Town?
Too many to choose, the bonus is there is something for every mood, on any day.
