Behind the lens – Samantha Myburgh

June 30, 2010

Samantha Myburgh comes from Port Elizabeth, South Africa’s windy city. She has quite a history and has worked in the hospitality industry in both London and Dubai. She started off by working for the famous Shamwari Group – a selection of five-star lodges in the Eastern Cape,  before she moved onto Tsala Treetop Lodge, near Plettenberg Bay. And now finally she has joined Rhino Africa! She picked up a camera about 8 months ago but says the love of photography was obviously in her blood because she enjoys it so much. She’s also an au-naturale photographer, which doesn’t mean she takes photographs scantily dressed (although rumour has it she was spotted at Sanbona snapping the dawn wearing only her bathrobe!) she simply doesn’t like to edit her photographs at all.
