Perry’s Bridge Hollow
I was pleasantly surprised at how convenient this hotel is located because within a short distance, you will be at either the Phabeni Gate (about 15 minutes) or Kruger Gate (about 30-40 minutes) to the Kruger National Park.
In terms of what to do in the evenings, for dinner or entertainment, you can try the luxurious and elegant restaurant called Kuka. This is on the same property, a stone’s throw away from the hotel itself and the food is absolutely excellent – their breakfasts are simply amazing! Alternatively, if you are looking for something with a bit more of an African vibe or cultural touch, you can cross the road to Hippo Hollow Country Lodge and join the local entertainment at the Shangaan River Club. This restaurant has community-based involvement and provides the guests with entertainment and dancing, followed by traditional African food. It is definitely worth a try.
During the day, the activities in the area are endless. You can visit the Panorama Route which has a huge history but also filled with great vistas and scenery. Other activities include Elephant Back Safaris, River Rafting on the Sabie River, Quad Bike trails, Helicopter flights, Microlight flights and hot air ballooning.
Thanks to Phillip Oellermann at Perry’s Bridge Hollow for showing us their fantastic hotel, an up-market and more personalized version of the Hippo Hollow Lodge across the road. It is a great hotel with so much to offer! We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast at Kuka Restaurant and will definitely make a plan to come back again in the future!
