At Rhino Africa, we believe that tourism to Africa doesn't need to leave a dirty carbon footprint, but rather, if done correctly, it can help uplift communities, conserve wildlife and alleviate poverty. We believe passionately in giving back to the communities, landscapes and wildlife that make Africa such an incredible tourist destination. Not only do we run our own annual challenge to raise money but we also support numerous charities, align ourselves with businesses that share the same outlook and work towards a Going Green initiative in our daily business practices.
We work extensively to help save our namesake from extinction and to put an end to the tragic poaching taking place in Africa. We do this through Challenge4aCause and by raising as much support, funds and awareness as possible on World Rhino Day (22 September - watch the video here) and at any other opportunity that we can. Read our Blog about World Rhino Day and watch the videos featured on News24 and CNBC Africa.
Charities that we support include Save The Rhino Trust, Wildlife ACT Fund, Good Work Foundation as well as Khumbulani, Little Lambs, Santa's Shoebox and The Ark.
Challenge4aCause
Challenge4aCause is our annual cycling event which raises money to support the conservation of Africa's endangered animal and plant species and finances projects that uplift poor communities.
